Online theory
Do the theory online, the practical in person.
Complete the theory session of the Soft Restraint Kit and SEELS course online at a time that suits you. We then only need to deliver the physical session in person, which saves time away from the workplace.
Physical skills can also be assessed online by video, and Doug can run live tutorials and group discussions over Zoom.
Course aim and objectives
What every delegate leaves able to do.
The course instructs participants in the underpinning legal knowledge and working principles for using Soft Restraint equipment safely.
Can we buy the kit without training?
No. Soft Restraint equipment is work equipment under PUWER 1998, and under Section 6 we do not supply kit without evidence of training. Staff need a current certificate in its safe and effective use.
Should we choose end-user or Train the Trainer?
End-user certification is for staff who will use the kit. Train the Trainer is for people who will train colleagues in-house, and needs a teaching or trainer qualification.
Is the SEELS included?
Yes. Training on the SEELS lifting sling is included at no extra cost on every course.
Can you come to us?
Yes. We deliver in-house across the UK and internationally. In-house end-user training is £1,350 for up to 12 delegates.
Can we see the kit first?
Yes. Book a free demonstration and we will show your team the full kit at your service.
